Gentian XHAXHIU

Genti Xhaxhiu holds an Executive Master’s Degree in EU Studies from the Centre International de Formation Européenne. He has attended the Annual Programme in “Management and Public Policy” at the School of Public Affairs of Sciences Po Paris and successfully completed the Programme of the School of Political Studies of the Council of Europe. Between 2023 and 2025, he also attended executive education programmes at the College of Europe in Bruges on topics related to European affairs and integration.

Before joining the College, Genti held various roles in the public sector and in international organizations. Between 2013 and 2020, Genti held several positions within the Albanian Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs, dealing with European integration, foreign affairs, regional cooperation, and coordination of EU financial assistance. During 2018-2019, Genti has been engaged as a research fellow at the Institute for Jewish Research, in New York. During his stay in the US, Gentian attended a number of qualifications at Harvard University and the University of Virginia. During 2020 -2026 Genti has served as Programme Coordinator at the Western Balkans’ Regional School of Public Administration, in Podgorica.

He serves as an external lecturer at the Institute of European Studies, University of Tirana, where he delivers modules on EU funding, cohesion policy, and regional development, combining academic insight with practical expertise from his professional experience.

He has an excellent command of English and Italian language and a fair command of French.

Genti has a strong passion for history, particularly World War II and its aftermath.
