Opening Ceremony of the Tirana Campus - Academic Year 2024/2025

“The College of Europe is much more than an ordinary university. When our continent still laid in ruins after World War 2, a group of European pioneers came up with a visionary idea: let’s build an academy to raise the leaders of tomorrow that will unite Europe. A new generation for a new beginning. That was one of the first building blocks of European Integration. Before coal and steel, it all started with the College.” said the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during her keynote speech.

The Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2024-2025 of the College of Europe – Tirana Campus took place on Wednesday, October 23, 2023, in the Pyramid of Tirana.

Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed our students and underlined how historic this moment is! The rector, Federica Mogherini, declared the first academic year on the Tirana campus officially open.
