The College of Europe is delighted to welcome Mr Andrew PUZDER, Ambassador of the United States of America to the European Union, on Friday, 9 October, for a keynote address and an exchange with our students.
The event will offer students the opportunity to hear directly from Ambassador Puzder and engage with him in a Q&A focused on transatlantic trade and EU-U.S. economic relations.
Drawing on his broad understanding of international economic development, Ambassador Puzder will share his perspectives on trade and the economic relationship between the European Union and the United States. At a time when trade occupies a prominent place in the transatlantic agenda, the exchange will provide an opportunity for our students to engage directly with the Ambassador on current developments and perspectives in this field.

About the Speaker
Mr Andrew Puzder has served as Ambassador of the United States of America to the European Union since August 2025. He brings extensive experience in business, economics and public policy to his diplomatic role.
Before his appointment, Ambassador Puzder spent nearly 17 years as CEO of CKE Restaurants, Inc., overseeing the company’s international expansion to more than 3,800 restaurants across the United States and 40 countries. His career has given him extensive experience engaging with businesses and stakeholders around the world and a broad understanding of international economic development.
An attorney, author and frequent commentator on economics and public policy, Ambassador Puzder has also lectured at numerous associations and academic institutions. He holds a BS from Cleveland State University and a JD from Washington University School of Law.
