Exploring Albania Beyond Tirana – An initiative led by our student rep. Desantila Muriqi

Our student representative, Desantila Muriqi, decided to show her classmates the beauty of Albania beyond the capital city of Tirana. And she did it brilliantly. This is what she shared with us:

Since starting my studies at the College of Europe, I have always wished to find a way for my peers from across the Europe to experience Albania beyond just Tirana and connect with youth from smaller places where information about our college may not always be as accessible. 

So, I pitched the idea to the EU Delegation, and with their support, it turned into something amazing: two study trips across Albania - from north to south. The trips took place the previous weekends thanks to the incredible team at EUD under the Education Campaign. 

We explored the culture and landscapes of Albania, learned about the EU’s impact here, and, most importantly, built meaningful connections with local youth. 

The best part?
Exchanging, sharing advice, offering tips, and promising to stay in touch as their informal mentors.
