Workshops in professional development

The Department of European Political and Governance Studies features workshops in professional development, which are intensive 8-hour seminars on highly topical subject matters taught by practitioners and academics from Brussels and beyond.

The workshops aim to contribute to the students’ insertion into the job market, namely by:

  • providing additional insights on the main challenges, policies or institutions in different sectors of employment;
  • building on the EU knowledge with some additional insights on work specificities, as well as on the politics of the European institutions.

The workshops offered are:

These workshops do not grant ECTS credits, but a certificate of participation is conferred upon the successful completion of the module.
There is no limit to the number of workshops that a student can follow. However, some workshop are open only to a limited number of participants, selected on a first-come-first-served basis.

My experience in the department not only deepened my knowledge of EU policies but through professionalising courses, workshops and the simulation game, it also prepared me for working in EU institutions, public affairs consultancies, or other fields. - Veronika Vargová (Chopin promotion)
