In addition to the general admission requirements of the College of Europe, students admitted to the Department of European Legal Studies in Bruges must hold a university degree in Law. Admission to the College of Europe requires either a Bologna Master's degree, or a pre-Bologna equivalent degree, or a final university degree that provides access to the legal profession (preferably equivalent to 240 ECTS credits acquired in the course of one's university studies). Equivalence will be determined on the basis of objective criteria. A final university degree that provides access to the legal profession and at least 180 ECTS credits acquired in the course of one's university studies can be taken into consideration where the candidate is exceptionally qualified.
