On 11-13 February 2026, the College of Europe in Natolin hosted the annual Introductory Seminar on International Humanitarian Law. The seminar was organised in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The seminar covered such areas as:
- Legal framework of armed conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, and Yemen
- Main developments of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and its relationship with Human rights
- Protection of War Victims: civilians and combatants hors de combat (prisoners of war, wounded, sick and shipwrecked)
- Conduct of hostilities: military objectives: aerial bombing: use of certain conventional weapons and weapons of mass destruction
- CFSP and the implementation of IHL by the EU and the EU crisis management operations
